Job search question

What does it mean when I get a call scheduling an interview on the same day I got a rejection letter from a place? Does that mean they just want to confirm that I'm not the right candidate for the job?

you got a call from the same place you got a rejection letter? weird! obviously, your resume accidently landed in the rejection notices... maybe...

Yeah, I guess the logical explanation is that they hired someone and that person quit, and they panicked and interviewed me. But I like to think that they're just confirming my awfulness. Regardless, I interviewed with them this morning, and thought that I did show them just how incompetent I was.

But that's OK, because I got an offer this afternoon.

So... I got offered that job I got the rejection letter from. Once I got that phone call, I knew I had to take it. Because really, how could I pass up the opportunity to work somewhere where they reject you and accept you within a few days of each other? This summer is going to be full of discombobulated messes, and I can't wait.

congrats jeffrey. i knew that when john got a job there had to be one out there for you. does this mean that we will no longer be seeing you at the Reds games?

You'll be able to see me at Reds games through the end of the week, but after that I wouldn't bet on it, unless the Indians magically come in town again.

I'm moving over the next two weeks, and I need to paint a room or two. Who wants to help?
